July 12th-14th, 2013
Its now pretty much a given that we'll hold a three day regatta at Caseville and this year is no different. And why not? This is perhaps the perfect catamaran sailing venue. A huge beach with smooth soft sand, clear warm water, and close access to the campground. This year the Shark fleet will be joining and holding their Nationals regatta along with us. All catamarans are invited to join us for one of our favorite weekend regattas!
Caseville County Park on SR 25 just north of downtown Caseville (map here). Phone (989) 856-2080.
Take SR 25 North from Bay City to Caseville. Park entrance is across from the Dairy Queen on the lake side of the road.
This is the peak of the summer holiday season, so you've got to plan ahead. We strongly encourage you to register and choose your site ASAP!
As usual, the on-site camping reservations are organized by CRAM. We've already reserved 35 campsites close to the beach, so make your reservations with us and not with the County Park.
Please check HERE for available sites. When registering for the regatta, please note your top 2-3 choices and submit them in the comment section at the time of checkout. Site selection is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Again, please plan ahead, register, and reserve your favorite site today. We will be closing camping reservations and releasing any unreserved spots on June 17th.
If you procrastinated and our allotment of spots at Caseville fills up (quite possible with the Shark boats joining us), then you're on your own. Fortunately, camping is also available at several nearby state parks including Sleeper State Park & Port Crescent State Park. Huron County Parks also has a few campsites in the area - in fact you can check the Caseville site to see if they have any other non-CRAM sites available. These parks will fill up early as well, so don't take them for granted as a fall-back position.
Finally, if camping with your good friends is simply not your thing, that's OK - we didn't want you hanging with us anyway! (Just kidding) - there are several hotels within a short drive from the park (map here). Reservations are on your own and will likely fill up quickly.
