Check and see who has pre-registered HERE
After a 13 year hiatus, the venerable Cat Fight is returning to the Great Lakes. We’re also bringing it to you from a brand-new CRAM location in New Buffalo. CRAM is excited to announce that CRAW (Catamaran Racing Association of Wisconsin) will be joining us this year and hopefully for many years to come.
New Buffalo Beach Park
300 Marquette Drive, New Buffalo, MI
New Buffalo is just north of the Indiana/Michigan border on Lake Michigan. It can easily be reached via I-94. Just take Exit 1 off 94 and head north for 6 minutes on 239 (Harbor Country Drive). Continue north through town on Whittaker Street to Lake Michigan and look for the New Buffalo Beach Park Pavilion which is the CRAM Regatta Weekend Headquarters. It doesn't get any easier than that!
The below diagram should be fairly self-explanatory. Please keep the trailers to the south side of the parking lot and your boats in the adjacent beach area just north of the breakwater.
RVs (only!) are allowed to stay at the Lions Pavilion Park (purple area above) as long as they are attached to their boat trailers.
Tent/RV Camping: We urge you to be prompt in making reservations at either Warren Dunes State Park (link here) located about 20 minutes North of our launch site, or Judy's Motel & Campground (269-469-0222) which is about 6 minutes south of the launch site and has offered to give a discount to regatta participants. Both have plenty of availability at this time, but are first come first serve.
Hotels: There are also many hotel options in the area (check link here). This is the busy season, so hotel rates are not going to be cheap.
The New Buffalo Yacht Club will host dinner Saturday evening June 2nd starting at 6:30pm for CRAM regatta participants, family, and friends. Dinner will consist of a wonderful buffet style dinner served in the yacht club dining room.
Family buffet style dinner includes:
Cost for Dinner (paid on-site) is:
All are welcome to attend dinner but YOU MUST INFORM US AT LEAST 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE with the headcount in your party attending dinner. That is no later than 6:00 PM Saturday, May 26th which is one week before the Regatta. Your dinner registration will facilitate our meal planning.
If you need to reserver your dinners outside of registration, please do so here:
(note: that for reservation purposes, it says $0 here, but actual cost is as indicated above and to be paid at the yacht club)
We look forward to seeing all of CRAM at dinner after a great day of racing.
Some very cool Tech shirts will be provided as a part of the regatta, but only to those that register by the early-registration deadline (May 24th). You can select your and your crew's shirt size (max 2) as a part of registration or reserve them separately here:
If you missed early pre-registration, you can still purchase for $30 each as a part of regular registration. Or if you'd like to purchase extras, you can do so on-site.
